What is the difference between tallow soap and goat milk soap?
They name different parts of the formula. Tallow is a fat that becomes the soap itself, and goat milk is a liquid ingredient added to the mix, so they aren’t competing kinds of soap.
One bar can contain both. Our Goat Milk & Tallow Soap is a goat milk soap made with pasture-raised, grass-fed, grass-finished tallow from small family farms, in a 4 oz bar.
Tallow is a fat. Goat milk is a liquid.
Tallow supplies the fatty material that reacts with an alkali to form soap, a reaction called saponification. It tends to give a firm bar with a creamy lather, as tallow soap benefits explains.
Goat milk can replace some or all of the water used to make the soap mixture. It adds milk sugars, fats, and proteins to the formula.
So a goat milk bar may also contain tallow, coconut oil, olive oil, scent, or colorants, and a tallow bar may be made with water, milk, or another liquid.

- What size and packaging? Every bar is 4 oz and ships unlabeled.
- Can scents mix toward volume pricing? Yes. All soap bars count toward one tier.
- Is there a minimum? No. Order any quantity.
- Can I try it first? Yes. Soap samples are 2 oz for $3 in any scent.

FAQ
Tallow and goat milk questions
Still have a question? Call 612-208-6516 or email hello@wholesaletallowsoapusa.com.
Is goat milk soap tallow soap?
It can be, but not always. Check whether tallow appears in that bar’s ingredient list.
Can tallow soap contain goat milk?
Yes. Tallow and goat milk do different jobs in a formula, so they work in the same bar, as in our Goat Milk & Tallow Soap.
Which is better for wholesale?
The one your customers understand and reorder. Compare the actual formulas, price, scent, packaging plan, and product story, ideally with samples in hand.
Does either soap treat a skin condition?
Don’t assume it does. Neither ingredient name promises a medical outcome, and claims to treat a condition can change how a product is regulated. Describe the formula accurately instead.
