Wholesale tallow soap FAQ

Answers for buyers, brands, and retailers.

Start with the questions that determine product fit, branding responsibility, and the right order path.

Products and sourcing
Is the tallow grass-fed?

Yes. The grass-fed tallow used in WTS soap is sourced from small family farms.

How does WTS support wholesale buyers?

We provide clear formula details, practical volume pricing, current production timing, and direct help choosing the right stock, private-label, or custom-manufacturing path.

Are all bars the same formula?

No. Review the individual product details for each bar’s ingredient and scent profile.

Where can I compare available bars?

The wholesale catalog is the current source for available products.

Wholesale and private label
What is the difference between wholesale and private label?

Wholesale is the simplest catalog path. Private label uses established stock formulas with your consumer-facing brand and packaging.

Do stock bars include consumer-facing labels?

The current stock-bar program is built around unlabeled bars, leaving the consumer-facing presentation to the buyer. Confirm packaging responsibilities before ordering.

Can I mix products in an order?

Use the current shop and contact WTS if you need help planning a mixed assortment or confirming quantity rules.

Should I start with samples?

Samples are the best first step when you have not handled the bars or are choosing between several formulas.

Custom manufacturing
When should I consider custom manufacturing?

Choose custom when an established stock formula cannot meet a clear product brief and your volume supports a separate development process.

What should I include in a custom inquiry?

Share the customer, product concept, desired formula direction, estimated quantity, packaging plan, documentation needs, and target launch date.

What is the normal starting point for custom manufacturing?

Custom work normally starts at 200 bars per SKU. An existing-platform adaptation pilot starts at $250 per SKU.

What does an existing-platform adaptation pilot include?

It includes one initial pilot batch, up to two samples, one consolidated revision round, and up to two revised samples. Extra adaptation rounds are $125 plus shipping. Prototype shipping is separate.

What must be approved before production?

The final INCI, measured pH, and specifications are reviewed before written production approval.

Are exact percentages and manufacturing methods disclosed?

Exact percentages and manufacturing methods are confidential unless separately transferred or licensed.

What is quoted separately on a complex project?

Complex validation, testing, tooling, packaging, and fulfillment are quoted separately.

Can WTS confirm a timeline before reviewing the brief?

No. Timing depends on scope, approvals, production requirements, and current capacity.
