Design your box in four steps
Everything happens right on this page, and your work saves in your browser as you go. The tool arranges finished pieces on the box: a background color, your logo, text, and images.

What the design tool can and cannot do. It places and sizes finished pieces on each panel. It cannot edit inside an image, extend a photo past its edges, or turn one front label into a whole box: a square label fits the lid, and the walls need their own layout. For a box covered in photos, have a designer make art for each panel on our template, or choose Our team designs it. Leave room for your ingredients and business name and address, usually on the bottom. We check every design before it prints and will contact you if something will not print well.

How many custom soap boxes do I have to order?
25. The price per box drops at 50, 125, 250, 500, 1,000, 1,500, 2,500, 5,000, and 10,000 boxes, and any quantity in between is priced on the same curve, so 300 boxes cost less each than 250.
What size soap fits in the box?
One 4 oz bar. The box is 3.625 x 3.625 x 2 in, sized for our square 4 oz tallow bars with room for tissue or a paper wrap.
How long do custom soap boxes take?
Your boxes ship in about 10 business days after you approve your proof. If our team designs your box, your first proof arrives within 3 to 5 business days after you send your logo and ideas, so allow a little extra time.
Can I order now and send my artwork later?
Yes. Choose Add artwork after you order. Your order confirmation page, order email, and account all have a link to upload your file or design it in our tool. We print after you approve your proof.
Can your team design the box for me?
Yes, for $295.00 per design. Choose Our team designs it and send your logo and ideas after checkout. Your first proof arrives within 3 to 5 business days, and 3 revisions are included. Nothing prints until you approve it.
Is shipping really free?
Yes. Custom boxes ship free to any US address, including Alaska, Hawaii, and APO, FPO, and DPO military addresses, which can take a few extra days. They ship on their own, separate from the rest of your order. If your order also has soap, tallow, or other products, those ship at the normal rate calculated at checkout, and the boxes still add nothing.
Can you keep my boxes and pack my bars in them?
Yes. Under Delivery, choose Send to us to apply. Your boxes come to our shop instead of to you, and we pack your soap in them before we ship the stock to you in bulk. Packing each bar in its box is $0.75, like label application. To ship each order to your customers, use TallowPal, our dropshipping app.
What if I am not happy with my boxes?
Tell us within 14 days of delivery. We may ask for photos or a few details, then we work with you to make it right, and if we cannot, we refund your box order. You can also cancel for a full refund of the boxes any time before they go to print. Read our custom box policy.
Can I upload a design I made in Canva, Illustrator, or Photoshop?
Yes. Download the template, design on it at full size, hide the guide layers, and export a PDF or a 300 dpi PNG or JPG. Then choose Upload finished artwork and check your proof.
Do coupons work on custom boxes?
No. Box prices are set close to our printing cost, so coupons and store credit do not apply to them, and boxes do not count toward a coupon minimum.
What kind of design works best in the design tool?
A background color, your logo, and text, with photos placed whole. The tool arranges finished pieces; it cannot edit inside an image or extend a photo. A single square label fits the lid, but the walls are a different shape, so stretching the same label onto them distorts it. For a box covered in photos, design each panel on our template in Canva, Illustrator, or Photoshop, or choose Our team designs it.
What has to be on my box?
Most soap and cosmetic boxes need the product name and net weight on the front, plus an ingredients list and your business name and address. In the design tool, choose Text, then Add ingredients and business info, and it lands on the bottom of the box. Check the labeling rules for your product before you approve.
Can I change my design after I order?
Before it prints, yes. We check every design before it goes to the printer. If something will not print well, we send it back with notes, and your design opens in the tool from your email or My Account, Orders, so you can fix it and approve it again. For other changes before printing, email hello@wholesaletallowsoapusa.com.
How many times will you check my artwork?
A design you make yourself includes 2 review rounds: each time, we check it for print problems and send it back with notes if it needs changes. If it still has print problems after that, you choose how to finish: our design service at $295.00 per design, printing your design exactly as you approve it at your own risk, or canceling your boxes for a full refund. Our check is for print quality only; spelling, claims, and label rules stay your responsibility. Click Review in the design tool before you approve, and it catches most problems for you.
Can I change my design after I add it to the cart?
Yes. Before you check out, choose Edit design on the box line in your cart. Adding it again replaces that line.
