All frequently asked questionsDo you have minimum order quantities?
Only on lip balm: 50 tubes in any mix of flavors, or 1 tube per flavor to sample. Every other catalog product can be ordered online in any quantity, from one unit up. Volume pricing tiers are discounts, not minimums. Custom formulas require an order of 200 bars, or 400 tubes for lip balm.
How much is shipping?
Checkout calculates it from your ZIP code and order weight, using UPS and USPS rates, so you see the exact charge before you pay. Bulk tallow works the same way. Large orders ship in several boxes, with one shipping charge.
How do samples work?
Soap samples are 2 oz for $3 in any scent, including Lavender, Woodsy, Citrus & Lemon, and Coffee. Lotion samples are 1 oz for $3. Add them to your cart from the sample list or any soap or lotion page, and check out like any order. Shipping is calculated at checkout, before you pay. Samples don’t count toward volume pricing. Other products have no sample size, so order one at its base size, with no minimum.
How does dropshipping work?
Through TallowPal, our no-minimum private label app. Connect your store and design your label, and our same production team labels, packs, and ships each order within 2 business days. Shopify and WooCommerce orders sync on their own; Amazon, Etsy, and TikTok Shop orders come in by upload or template.
What does dropshipping cost?
The TallowPal unit price, which includes your label printed and applied, plus the actual shipping label. A 4 oz soap bar starts at $5.55 and a lip balm at $4.50. Plans are Studio free, Brand $39 a month, and Pro $49 a month. Optional unit packs of 100 or more units cost less per unit, and TallowPal holds them free.
Can I sell your products under my own brand?
Yes. Private label and white label work the same way: order any catalog product (lip balm starts at 50 tubes), receive it unlabeled, and add your labels: printed labels and soap boxes from us at live prices, or your own. Apply them yourself, or have us do it for $0.75 each.
How much do custom labels and boxes cost?
Printed labels for our jars, tubes, and deodorant, and printed boxes for our soap bars, have live prices on our custom labels and custom soap boxes pages, where you can order them. Thank-you cards and other packaging depend on material, quantity, colors, design, and size, so send us those details and we’ll price them exactly.
Can I mix scents to reach a volume price?
Yes. All soap bars count toward the same tier, so you can build a variety order. Lavender, Woodsy, Citrus & Lemon, and Coffee bars cost more to make, so they use their own price for each tier.
Do other products have volume pricing?
Yes. Every balm jar counts toward one tier, any balm or size. Lotion, deodorant, lip balm, hair bars, and dish soap each have their own tiers, with scents and sizes counted together.
Can you make a custom formula?
Yes. A custom formula requires an order of 200 bars, and it starts with a $250 pilot per formula that includes one pilot batch, up to two samples, and one revision round.
Is your tallow grass-fed?
Our tallow soaps and tallow body care are made with pasture-raised, grass-fed, grass-finished tallow from small family farms. For bulk tallow, choose Bulk Suet Tallow, or Bulk Grass-Fed Grass-Finished Suet Tallow when your brand needs both claims.
How long until my order ships?
It depends on the product and quantity, and large, labeled, and custom orders can take longer. Soap bars can ship before they finish curing, so they reach you sooner; we recommend 2 to 4 weeks of curing from the production date before you sell them. See our Production and Curing Policy, or ask us before you order if you have a deadline.
