Is 200 units the minimum for every product?
For every product but lip balm. A custom formula needs an order of 200 units, or 400 tubes for lip balm. In the catalog, stock lip balm starts at 50 tubes, and everything else can be ordered in any quantity.
How does the price promise work?
Send us a written quote from another US manufacturer, dated in the last 30 days, for 200 units or more (400 for lip balm). If the formula and packaging are comparable, we beat its per-unit price for the same quantity. The $250 pilot is separate.
Do I need my own formula?
No. Most briefs start with an idea, a product you like, or a list of ingredients you want and want to avoid. The pilot turns that into samples.
What should my brief include?
The product type, your idea, who it is for, how many units you expect to order, your packaging plan, your target launch date, and any quote you want us to beat.
How is production priced?
We quote it after the pilot, once you approve the INCI declaration and specifications. If you sent us a competing quote, ours comes in under it.
Do I get the formula percentages?
Not by default. You approve the full INCI declaration, but exact percentages and manufacturing methods stay confidential unless a transfer or license is agreed separately.
How long does a custom order take?
It depends on the product and quantity, and we confirm the production date when you order. Put your launch date in your brief, and see our Production and Curing Policy.
Can you handle labels, boxes, and shipping too?
Yes. Order custom labels or custom soap boxes, and we apply them and ship the stock to you in bulk. Our complete brand build covers the product, packaging, and a Shopify store, with orders fulfilled through TallowPal.
